Entrance to the Museum Building

Trinity College Dublin 1853-7 by Deane + Woodward

A landmark in the development of Gothic Revival architecture, the museum has been hailed as an early manifestation of Ruskinian Gothic and a predecessor of Deane + Woodward's more famous Oxford Museum of 1855-60. This is the broad lobby entrance which leads up to the grand stairhall. An amazing space by any standards.
