Pravda
Liffey Street, Dublin. Long before we ever heard of oligarchs a little bit of Russia landed in Dublin in the guise of Pravda. I always wanted to like the place, because I have a fondness of everything Russian...but I don't. Mainly because the place smells of wee...and I'm not being schoolboy here, it's a common problem with many bars in the city with the facilities in the basement. Maybe they've sorted the problem out over the last while...but, to be honest, I just haven't given the place a chance since I last left it grumbling about the stink. My other gripe with the place is the fact that they seem convinced that turning the music up to 11 is the way to go...ensuring that no-one can maintain a conversation unless they've got a megaphone handy. They do pub grub too but it was never that great in my experience...maybe the stank has totally tainted my opinon of the place.
