The Odeon
At the southern end of Harcourt Street, Dublin. 1859 by George Wilkenson. This is the former terminus of the Dublin, Wicklow and Wexford Railway, now a bar and restaurant with a night club and wine cellers in the vaults below. A very tendy, but handsome hotel lobby type space frequented by besuited types of all sizes and persuasions. I've not drank here much over the years so I can't claim to know much about it. It has, however, got a great heated beer garden area to the front which is a bonus for those smokers amongst us and it's a comfortable spot if you get there when it's quiet. I can only imagine the fashionable melee when it's packed...
