The Stag's Head

Dame Court Dublin. 1895, by Alfred McGloughlin. This is one of the inner city's institutions, though I haven't really drank here for a long time. Look through the window for some of the reasons why. I also had my wallet robbed while sitting on the left here years ago...still hurting about that. This is a very handsome room though with all original joinery which is a rarity these days for a bar in the city. Seemingly they do a good line in pub grub at lunchtime, and the usual toasties in the evenings, but I've never dined there myself...

I'm not very happy with this pano; firstly my camera refuses to take a clear photo anymore, but also I think I chose the wrong viewpoint. I've tried to get a good shot of this place a good few times now, but it remains elusive. Maybe it's because the place knows I haven't had a pint here for years!!! One of these days soon I'll get wrecked here (for photographic purposes only) and come away with a cracker of a shot...
