The Anchor Bar

AKA H. O'Hare's , Carlingford Co. Louth, Ireland. See Large

This is a nice pub. The last time I was here was about 12 years ago, and I think they've extended the place significantly since then. But the original part of the bar shown here remains true to it's past with a narrow little shop area at the entrance, opening up to a bigger lounge at the back with the all important roasting fire at the back. The extension is off to the right of this image, and lacks the character of the older section. Good place for a session though, the layout keeps the young and the old 'uns happy. There's good pub grub (and a restaurant upstairs) and plenty of live music, if that tickles your fancy. There's also a huge beer garden out the back should the weather be on your side.
