35/52 Weeks of Simon We Are Family Edition 1st Anniversary.IMG_7506

Some weekend our family has had. Ready? Ok

First of all we are celebrating the 1 year anniversary of Simon coming into our lives. What a day that was. This weekend is a bit of a repeat from last year as well. My husband came home last year from a 24 hour run to the surprise of going and picking up his new pup. And this year we went back for a repeat performance and had Simon along with us.

I was a bit uneasy about taking Simon along with us. It was bound to be a very long day with alot of stimulation that he wasnt use to. A bunch of people repeatedly going around a track and he was expected to behave and watch while tethered to a stack in the football field. And than climb into a tent with the little one and I and try and be good and go to sleep.

This sure was a test to him. And I report he passed with flying colors!! He was so well behaved I couldnt have asked for more. Simon sat so good and watched the runners parade by for 16 hours yesterday. Granted 3 of us crawled into the tent about 10pm until 4. But he was up at 4 with us than went back into the tent until 7. Came out to watch the end and now is dog tired. I just didnt know what photo to use for today.

We dont have 1 photo of the whole family because someone had to take the photo. And I had to post the one from the race at the field. As you can tell hubby isnt looking too happy but he really is. After 100 miles in 24 hours this is what you get.

So to Simon Happy Anniversary. You have brought so much joy to our family and so many smiles and laughs. You are such a wonderful creature that I feel truly blessed you came into our lives. Thanks Batman.
