2310_1817 Plains Bison

It has been a few weeks since I posted a wildlife set, so it's time. Although variety of species present is vastly diminished when fall arrives and cooler weather takes over, there's still a lot fo photograph in Grasslands.

Most of the images to follow were shot this year, in October, November, or December. Due to relatively mild temperatures and the great light we get at this time of year, I've been out there a lot, and have a lot of new wildlife shots to share - starting with this bull bison making its way across a field of dry, yellow grass.

Unless I make changes, there will be nine mammal species and eight bird species in this set. It isn't a complete inventory of what's here, but a good indication. Stay tuned...
