2203_1276 Spring Ice With Bubbles
Last ice shot for now, and maybe the last of the season as temperatures (theoretically) warm up.
For this one, I had to work my way down a fairly steep roadside ditch and perch at the edge of a foot or two of water. The thin film of ice on top was able to support my tripod, but I had to be careful not to step on it. From my precarious perch, I had to lean forward, frame, focus, and try not to topple over. But it was worth the effort. I loved not only the frozen bubbles, but the mysterious grasses below, bathed in cold water and warm light.
I could only set up about half a dozen shots before my back began relaying pain messages and I had to quit. This was the best of them.
