1908_2239 Ye Olde Fishing Hole

Georgina, the World's Coolest Bear, is using both sight and smell to try to locate migrating salmon on their way upstream. Occasionally, she'll glance at the three or four photographers clicking away from the opposite side of the spawning channel. But for the most part she is a focused bear, going about the serious business of packing on calories so that she can get through the winter in good shape. Coastal winters are not severe and not long, but the bears do go into hibernation, as food resources are limited until spring returns.
