1706_0964 Pooky's World
Pooky, my next door neighbour's cat, is getting pretty old - 18 or 19 now. She likes to visit my garden after I've watered. Sometimes she drinks out of this concrete cast sculpture made 20 years ago by my friend, west coast artist Richard MacKenzie, although usually she prefers to lap up the muddy pools and trickles (she finds the moving water fascinating).
Photographed in my backyard, between the French tarragon and the bachelor buttons and daisies, in Val Marie, Saskatchewan. Don't use this image on websites, blogs, or other media without explicit permission © 2017 James R. Page - all rights reserved.
