1006_2595 Pronghorn
I went into the archives for this one, a shot I made in 2010 during a summer visit to the prairie to run a photo workshop or two and work on the house I'd just bought. I love soft light like this. I was a little startled to reach the crest of a hill and see this Pronghorn beside the road; I suspect the startle effect was mutual. He had a couple of buddies with him - three pronghorn bucks - and they bolted at the first click of my shutter.
Photographed along a grid road near Val Marie, Saskatchewan (Canada). Don't use this image on websites, blogs, or other media without explicit permission © 2010 James R. Page - all rights reserved.
