1704_2028 Rainbow over Val Marie

The year's first rainbow appeared last weekend and it was a stunner. I ran all the way downtown for this shot - one block - with a polarizing filter on my lens to intensify the colours. Ideally I would have liked the rainbow more to the right, ie. above the old grain elevator, but this was the view. And it faded before I could walk down past the hotel to the other edge of town for a different perspective.

The trees and shrubs are all budding and flowering. Migratory birds continue arriving daily. Winter is a distant memory. (Truthfully, what I did yesterday is a distant memory...)
