Peregrine and prey

Here's a top shot of a streetlight! ... with a Peregrine Falcon just departing, clutching what we reckoned was a Crested Pigeon.

 

 

Went out to look for the Black Honeyeater this morning, my first outing since the WA trip. Didn't find the BH, but in the cloudy greyness there were some fine birds at this excellent Canberra hotspot.
