‘I felt so much joy when 'YIEDIE' project gave me safety clothing and tools for my training. I was so happy and all those around me could not help but join me in my excitement. Now the burden of buying this equipment is off me - I have never regretted entering the YIEDIE programme. Other young people entering construction are pressured by their master to buy and clothing for safety reasons. Without the necessary tools, they will make a loss and not keep up at work. For many, these costs are not affordable and so they quit the training or work.’
