Dance Class, Adi Harush, Ethiopia
In 2015 the Jesuit Refugee Service opened an arts, education and social centre on the Adi Harush refugee camp. It is an opportunity for the refugees to participate in music, dance, art, drama and other classes. There is a well-stocked library and sports facilities too. The ethos of the charity is to mix art classes with social work and counselling. Many of the refugees have secured paid jobs teaching at the centre. There is an emphasis on teaching traditional Eritrean cultural ways of storytelling.
