Homework, Adi Harush refugee camp, Ethiopia
Young girls work on their homework outside at the Adi Harush refugee camp. The camp is one of the four main camps in the Shire region of northern Ethiopia, home to around 30,000 Eritrean refugees. This includes families, unaccompanied children, single men and single women. Several non-governmental organisations and the UN Refugee Agency provide classes for children, vocational courses, arts and counselling services. Eritrean refugees can apply to leave the camps and live in urban areas if they have relatives to support them or can support themselves.
