Mohammed buys his honey

The town of Mekele, in Ethiopia's Tigray region is famous for selling honey - much of it organic - all of it tasty, with a velvety smooth flavour. Honey is sold through co-operatives, small shops (like this one) and by individuals trading by the roadside. It provides vital sources of revenue for poor communities in the arrid, drought-prone and remote Tigray region.
