We all need a safety net

The Ethiopian government's safety nets programme in Tigray has distributed food and cash to local people in exchange for their labour. In this part of Tigray local people have dug trenches to help save water and conserve the soil. The income they receive helps them get through hard times - like droughts and food price hikes.
