People have misconceptions about veiled women. They see them as passive – just walking along, quietly working, only capable of taking care of children. They are not shown enjoying their lives. Since the revolution I have found in the camera a source of emancipation – a way to break free and to shout what I feel. The headstand shows flexibility and energy. We can't exist without doing the things we love.
