I arrived in this community five years ago and it was very shocking at that time because there was no access to transport. We had to walk very long distances, or short distances, on very dangerous paths where we had to take a lot of care when moving children and old people.
It was very difficult to bring our food from the markets, especially when it rained, because it was very slippery. When we saw how dangerous this was, we decided to organise the community by putting in long hours and working really hard to improve the narrowest and most dangerous parts of the paths. We have had to work most of the time by hand or with tools that we were able to borrow thanks to the solidarity of the population.
