Lack of transport remains an important challenge for community policing, preventing Officers from responding quickly to requests for police assistance, and making transfer of victims or suspected perpetrators of crime to the police station difficult. In some communities, Advisory Councils have fundraised to purchase a motorbike for the Community Police Officer but most communities feel this is the kind of support that the Regional Government should provide.
