USA Update #1

Not many updates due to a lack of electricity in my laptop (I left my charger behind in Ojai and had to wait for it to arrive by post).
After a rest day in Ojai (a couple of hours North of LA) we filled the car up with all our stuff and set off on a 12hr mission to get to Orem Utah (about an hours drive South of Salt Lake City).
Since then we have been crashing on the floor of Gen's Aunt and Uncle, climbing, hiking, drinking some good local beer and generally having fun.
So far the climbing has been a challenge as Georgia's and my arms try to get back into the swing of things after 18months off. And chasing shade since it has been HOT (well our cold adapted bodies think it is anyway).
The climbing so far has been 3 days at American Fork which is brutally pumpy endurance limestone sport climbing and a day at Little Cottonwood Canyon for some trad granite (where we all got slightly eaten by a 5.7 offwidth!). But the munching was more than made up for by the humming birds that were darting around and hovering within inches of us!
We also did a hike up to a waterfall behind the Sundance ski field (we got very wet a couple of times as thunderstorms went over) but there were beaver dams and trout in the creek!
Next up the Tetons and Yellowstone National Park.
