Guthega Creek daytrip
by overflow50
After several disappointing attempts to ski Aussie fresh the day after the storm we decided that skiing in one would be the best chance for good snow. So we got up early and drove to Guthega (with interesting snow driving to get up the hill).
We headed up Guthega Trig into the teeth of a blizzard and wondered if we were going to be able to see at all. Nicely enough though the weather gods smiled and the day cleared and the forecast gale force winds were no where to be seen. Leaving us to enjoy half a dozen runs in a lovely 15-25cm+ of lovely soft fresh.
One of the best days I have had in the Aussie backcountry.
