Col De Dards and Lac Blanc bowls

On Sunday after a day of rain in Chamonix and a high snow line (>1800m) and with a dodgy avvy forcast Georgia and I decided to escape the ribbons of slush mixed with gravel in the local resorts and go for a tour from Flegere out above Lac Blanc to the Col du Dards.
After the crappy traverse out of Flegere we were very pleasantly surprised to find deep light fresh anywhere that was shady and sheltered from the wind, after about 600m vert of skinning through knee deep snow we got to the Col and skied back down to the lake (avoiding anything steep and sticking to the soft gullies). It was good and completely untracked! Which is very very rare in Chamonix, its common over here for moguls to form on backcoutry runs only accessible after a couple of hours skinning!
The new AT skis are surprisingly responsive in deep snow and we both had fun trying to get the alpine wiggle turns going!
