*Out of my Mind*
7 of 7 - Hacked!
Tonight I recieved a phone call from my bank to ask if I had authorised a particular transaction.
The transaction was only for $1. But they had seen the exact same transaction appear on several customer cards today so they were watching for it.
They literally called me within 60 seconds of the transaction and have since cancelled my card. I now have to wait 5 days for a new one.
Normally this wouldn't bother me, but I have been booking stuff for my USA trip on this card and I have orders pending on it that will now be denied and I may lose the items if a solution can't be found. Crap!!!
Surprisingly there is a note of good here. I am extremely amazed at the speed which Commbank attended to this problem. It was less than 60 seconds from transaction to phone call, and only a matter of minutes till my card was cancelled.
At least I know my annoying bank fees are paying for something.
So...bye bye plastic fantastic. Oh how I will miss thee.
Now I have to learn a whole new number!!!
