CR 5007, Brewster, NY, 1980

Conrail FL9 5007 (ex-New Haven 2007) rests between runs at Put Junction Yard in Brewster on October 19, 1980. The blue and yellow colors of New York State were first applied in 1970 when the Metropolitan Transportation Authority began direct subsidy of commuter service on the Hudson and Harlem lines. This unit would be transferred to CDOT in the 1990s, rebuilt, and repainted into NH colors and renumbered 2026. Currently in operation on Cape Cod Railroad. Art Deeks photo, Otto M.
