Jordan Spreader on the Sheldon Sub; Duncan, IA

As is tradition when the first major winter storm of the season lines up for the midwest, here's a groin-grabbingly cold shot from the archives.

A GP40 and Jordan Spreader work west as a ground blizzard (where snow already on the ground blows around and causes trouble) in north-central Iowa begins to subside; strong northerly winds shut down the roads and railroads alike - the interstates opened just in time that morning for me to make the trek down from the Twin Cities.
