A photo of Talking Water Gardens, during its construction phase. When the site is flooded to create the engineed wetland, the two oaks in the background will die - becoming snags that may be used by the resident bald eagles and other wildlife.
Talking Water Gardens is an innovative public/private partnership for engineered wetland science. When completed, the wetlands will reduce water temperature of waste water released by a nearby manufacturing plant, aerate and treat water to improve water quality, restore riparian forest and wetlands with planted native species, promote wildlife habitat and serve as a recreational and outdoor educational site for local residents and visitors.
