Merrill Oveson in a field, circa 1975

Item Description: Merrill Oveson was an Extension agent for Umatilla County from 1931-1938 and served as the Superintendent of the Pendleton Experiment Station from 1948-1966. A white winter wheat variety is named after Oveson.
