The First day of Eyjafjallajökull Eruption

Here is a more close up of the eruption. I had a 70-200mm lens on my 5D MK II so this is as close as I could get. If somebody has a 300mm or preferably a 400mm lens that they are not using right now, please let me know. I am willing to pay some fee for lending one.

The eruption seems to be escalating with lave now flowing into the beautiful and rugged Þórmörk. The road I went yesterday is now closed so getting any closer than this is now very hard without some serious hiking (and probably very stormy too).

I wanted to go back today but did not as the weather forecast was very bad. I will go back tomorrow and over the weekend too when I have more free time.
