Standing at the edge; Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains NP, Australia

Great views of the Jamison Valley, but not for those with fear of heights....

The waterfall and village of 'Wentworth Falls' is named after William Charles Wentworth (1790-1872) who was an Australian poet, explorer, journalist and politician, and one of the leading figures of early colonial New South Wales. He was among the group who successfully led an expedition across the Blue Mountains range: a natural obstacle which until then had proved to be impassable....the successful expedition of Wentworth 'opened up' New South Wales and the routes to the West of Australia.
