Queen Victoria Building, Sydney

The Queen Victoria Building (QVB) is a late 19th century, Romanesque Revival building. It was designed by the architect George McRae (1858 - 1923), a Scottish architect who migrated to Australia and became Government Architect of the State of New South Wales. The building is large - 190 metres long and 30 metres wide - and stands in the heart of the Central Business District of Sydney, Australia. Though it is an architectural gem worthy of admiration, It is also really a good place for some classy shopping...
