Optical illusion
Sailing in front of Sydney's skyline
Although the journey between The Netherlands and Sydney, Australia, is very long (35.000 km return) the destination itself was more than worth it... In the last 3 weeks I've travelled around in the greater Sydney region and in the Blue Mountains National Park, both in the state of New South Wales. An amazing experience which led to many great photographic opportunities, which I'm of course happy to share on Flickr in the coming time...
This particular photo was taken from Watsons Bay, named after Robert Watson (1756 - 1819). Watson was appointed harbour pilot and harbourmaster of the port of Sydney in 1811 and the first superintendent of Macquarie Lighthouse in 1816.
