Wandering Spider - Cupiennius salei - Cayo District, Belize

Portrait of a big beautiful wandering spider taken during the recent Belize trip - Cupiennius salei! Note the distinctive eye arrangement these ctenids have. Unlike the often feared Phoneutria spp. - these Cupiennius supposedly have a very mild bite - nothing medically significant.
