207 BTG [2]
In 1970 I donated an old van, which had previously belonged to my grandfather, to the children's home at which I worked for use as a playground attraction, I won't go into the details of the story here as you can read it on WordPress. I thought it might be an idea to look through my photograph archive of my years spent working at the Jane Hodge Holiday Home and select those which show the van in the playground. I thought that there'd be loads of photographs to choose from in my vast collection but sadly can only come up with a handful.
With the paintwork still looking fresh and ne this is the first photograph of the van and shows it in August 1970. Sprawled across the bonnet is Kim in a silly pose for the camera with Philip alongside the van. Not sure of the name of the girl in the driving seat, it may have been Angela.
