Flooded stepping stones

The flooded stepping stones on the River Ewenny next to Ogmore Castle. As I mentioned previously, I don't do sunsets, they always occur at the wrong time of day, I prefer mornings! It was not my intention to photograph my favourite castle this evening, but a change of original plan and a beautiful sky prompted me to visit.

Standing deep in the River Ewenny, the water was lapping the rim of my wellington boots threatening to swamp them; camera on tripod and loads of patience while all the onlookers moved out of frame. Canon 5D with 17-40mm lens at its widest setting and with two ND filters, 8x and 2x to slow down the river movement. The stepping stones are under that swirl in the middle distance. After the recent severe rainfall the whole area was extremely muddy and wet.

In case you're confused, the sun is setting behind me, this is the reflection of the low sun on the clouds.
