The Church of St Mary the Virgin, Tintern
A visit to Tintern Abbey was surely not complete without a peek at this glorious abandoned church which was destroyed by fire in 1977. Unfortunately for me, all the local coach tour operators recommend their travellers to visit this location and I was constantly being disturbed by Germans, Canadians, Australians - all very entertaining though!
This photograph is made from two separate exposures so as not to bleach out the sky. Taken with a Canon 5D and recently acquired Canon 14mm L lens (I'm not that wealthy, bought a used one!) and a little atmosphere courtesy of Photoshop.
