Tintern Abbey

Despite the sunshine and blue sky with white fluffly clouds when I left home, it was a very overcast and misty morning by the time I arrived at Tintern around 10.00am. I furtively prowled around the Abbey for an hour or so looking for photographic opportunities should the light improve. I set this shot up at noon as there appeared to be a break in the clouds pending, but it was 12.45 before i was able to capture this. The photo is made up from two exposures to provide detail in the sky. I'm not entirely happy with this but will replace once I can figure out how to get rid of the faint halo round the top rim of the Abbey.

Taken with a Canon 5D and recently acquired Canon 14mm L lens (I'm not that wealthy, bought a used one!)
