Panel 1 - Bridgend
Last year I was asked to put together a number of interpretative panels for an exhibition entitled Pipe Organs of Chapels and Churches in the Bridgend area, Valleys and Vale. The panels were to measure 70cm x 50cm to fit into frames provided by the venue. The text was supplied by Peter J David, the curator of the exhibition who also provided many of the historic photographs of organs that do not survive and I provided some of the up-to-date images. Many hours of work went into putting these panels together and they were unveiled at the exhibition at the Open Doors event at Wesley Methodist Church, Tondu on Saturday 12th September 2015. In all there were twelve panels and I shall upload them all over the next few days. The exhibition will remain at the Church for one year and is available for viewing at normal church service or opening times or other times by appointment. The exhibition contains many artefacts associated with pipe organs and also features a number of small pedal organs. Photographs taken at the exhibition will be shown after I've uploaded all the panels.
