Indian Treaty Room, "Si vis pacem, para bellum"

On June 20, 2013 The White House recognized Champions of Change in Open Science.

A reception was hosted by the Mozilla Science Lab in the Indian Treaty Room, which had originally served as the Navy's library. Although in later years, such treaties as the United Nations Charter have been signed here and the room hosts all manner of receptions, the naval influence remains. "Si vis pacem, para bellum" means, roughly "If you want peace, prepare for war."
