OI | DATA GOVERNANCE CONFERENCE
Three years after the enactment of the Data Protection Act, Amnesty International Kenya, the Open Institute, and the Data Governance and Privacy Society of Kenya convened the National Data Governance Conference to review the progress and impact of the Data Protection Act and offer the next steps as the act enters its fourth year of operation.
This dialogue brings together 100 stakeholders from government agencies, ODPC, civil society, the ICT sector, academia, and industry players in a bid to promote a multi-stakeholder engagement on data governance in Kenya:
to identify priority actions for the sector players to promote data governance in 2023
to gather consensus on institutionalising an annual data governance sector meeting.
