About one year ago I stood next to this maple tree and took a picture of the pool waters beneath its branches. The picture is buried somewhere in my photostream; it exists. A couple of days ago I passed near this pool again and was saddened to find the tree had fallen, broken at its base. I stood upon the tree this time to take a picture of the pool. I wonder what my relationship to this tree will be next year, when I return?
