The sounds of vinyl

When I was a little girl, I used to lay on my belly on the floor in front of the old record player and listen to these songs with my Uncle "Ada" (his name is Alan but I couldn't pronounce it when I was little and the name has stuck with me ever since - he will always be my Uncle "Ada"). 'Aquarius', 'American Pie', 'Me and Bobby McGee' and so many others... we would listen to them over and over and over again. Vinyl has such a unique sound and other special qualities that CD's just don't (maybe CD's sound too perfect?). I do have lots of favorites from today's music too but the new stuff coming out just isn't the same.
