Update on the chicken compost corral system: It is 32°F outside with a light snow falling, and nearing 140° in the compost. Not only does this composting system provide chickens with food and activity, but it may also provide them with a little warmth and some non-frozen earth to scratch. Perhaps we can also utilize this heat to keep their water from freezing...
