Sea Empress Wrecked Off Angle

The Sea Empress Tanker aground off Angle Bay. It remained there for some time before being floated off. The ship was single-hulled and the damage resulted in a massive oil slick.

 

Taken on fast 135 with 840mm telephoto from Angle Bay. The wind was so strong that it was difficult to stand and it was necessary to stand on the tripod in an attempt to steady the camera.
