I first met Dale Rio in 2005 when she photographed me in San Francisco. We were both there attending Tease-O-Rama. Got to see her again this weekend in Madison. She was here for the 2008 WFTDA Eastern Regional Tournament, Derby in Dairyland.
In addition to being an amazing photographer, she's also co-owner/editor of TWO supercool magazines: Shimmy Magazine (about burlesque) and Blood & Thunder Magazine (about roller derby.) Yeah, you guessed it, this girl's a force of nature. We had lots to gab about. It was really fun to connect with her again.
And as for that "pure evil" part...well, don't tell anyone 'cause, of course, she's got a rep to uphold...but she's actually very sweet.
