Green II

Austria, Hahntennjoch, May 2024

I didn't expected to find something so beautiful that day. The weather forecast promised sleet, which actually is a good thing. Nevertheless, I set off rather reluctantly. I've already tried the Hahntennjoch several times and failed every time because I'm just not ready as a photographer for it yet. Too many details, too restless, no clear “statement”.

Once I arrived at the Hahntennjoch, I was really amazed.

No rain, just snow. And the white snow made the green of the fresh grass and the trees appear incredibly saturated and rich. I don't think I've ever seen anything like it. In addition, there was dense fog. At last I had enough opportunities to work “graphically” and not be overwhelmed by the sheer amount of detail.
