Common Darter

I spotted this beautiful Common Darter (Sympetrum striolatum) dragonfly near Pennington Flash, Leigh. It got wary when I approached but then settled on top of a fence post and allowed me to take his picture. Taken using a 4 macro filter on my 18-270 zoom. Sony SLT A65.
