Christmas Eve on the AT

Christmas Eve sunrise on the Appalachian Trail. Near Trey Mountain.

 

The wind howled all night bring freezing temps. When we woke up all of the trees were covered with ice crystals. Walkin in a winter wonderland.

 

Had battery problems on the hike due to the cold. Any suggestions on how to deal with a cold camera and batteries?
