Traffic Light Rock
Another shot from my daily commute, this one taken at dusk in Bedford, MA, waiting for a traffic light.
The title is from one of XTC's earliest recorded songs, back when they were somewhere between punk and New Wave (www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ6sakqXBBI).
Techie details: I rested my camera on the beanbag-like base of my GPS stand, set to manual focus (infinite distance), Aperture Priority, f/9.0, ISO 200 with a polarizer to cut some of the glare and intensify the colors. I put the camera on a 2 second timer to minimize camera shake then reached over and pressed the shutter button every now and then. If I do it again I'll probably use a cable release.
